Meal Program

According to new Federal USDA regulations, we are no longer allowed to collect any monies at the food service counters.

Therefore, we will be utilizing a meal prepayment system that works like a debit card. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that students prepay for meals. Cash will NOT be accepted in the lunch line.

Breakfast Prices

  • $1.10 (full price)
  • $0.30 (reduced price)
  • $0.90 Milk only
  • $2.40 Adult and 2nd student breakfast price

Lunch Prices

  • $2.50 (full price)
  • $0.40 (reduced price)
  • $0.90 Milk only
  • $5.50 Adult and 2nd student lunch price
  • Adults must purchase a meal card for breakfast
  • Breakfast hours are 7:30 a.m. - 7:55 a.m.

EZ School Pay

  • Send payments faster and directly into your child's meal accounts: payments are credited within 10 minutes.
  • Mobile applications: EZSchoolPay is available from your device's app store and is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Receive alerts of low balances, make payments for your child's meal account, and purchase items from the school store.
  • Low Balances: Receive alerts when your child's balance drops below a certain balance.

  • Create an online account with your child's last name and their student number, which is located under their name on the report card.

Student Meal (ID) Card Policy:

Lunch meals and sales are purchased through the student’s ID card. NO MONEY will be accepted in the cafeteria.  If a student loses his/her ID card, a new one can be purchased in the office for a fee of $3.00.

***If the card is lost or forgotten at home, he/she will be allowed to use a temporary lunch ticket for that day only.  Temporary lunch tickets for that day may be picked up before school or during first recess at the office.  A student can only accumulate up to 5 temporary lunch cards at a time.

Payments can be made by cash or check. When paying with cash please enclose money in an envelope and write your child(ren)s name(s) and teacher information on the envelope. When paying with a check, please make it payable to Pearl Ridge Elementary or Department of Education and note your child(ren)s name(s) and room/teacher information. Payments made by 8:30 a.m. will be processed and credited to their accounts the same day. However, payments made after 8:30 a.m. will be credited to their accounts the following day.

Payments are to be deposited in the drawer marked, "Lunch Payments" located in the school office. At the end of the school year, the remaining balance will be transferred to the next school year. Refunds will be given upon request. Please allow 1 week after request for refunds.

Single/Daily Purchased Meals/Milk - Students may pay for meals/milk on a daily basis by purchasing a meal/milk ticket from the office during recess or lunch. Meal/milk tickets will not be sold before or after school. 

Pre-Purchased Meals - Parents are encouraged to purchase 20 lunches in advance, which is usually enough for one month.

Loans

Should a child forget, or lose, his/her lunch money a lunch loan fund is provided. Lunch loans for students with accumulative balance includes breakfast and/or lunch amount.

Total of 5 Breakfast and/or lunch is the maximum loan amount. Prompt repayment (cash only) of these loans are required.
